This five-mile by three-mile private island is situated in the very north of the Whitsunday Islands, half-an-hour by boat from the Great Barrier Reef Airport. The hotel underwent an $80million refurbishment, and it shows. The long, three-storied building, whose bedrooms expand out from a central public areas, is decorated in a clean and contemporary style.
The best thing about the resort is the food – there are seven restaurants, all of which offer their own unique take on local and european cuisines.
